Things to do
Some things to do whilst at staying at Cherry Hall

Here is a short selection of some things we have enjoyed....

Day trip to Barbon. Home of the famous hill climb. Walk (or race) to the top of
Middleton Fell, and return for a pint at the local. Dont miss the opportunity to buy some jam from the road side honesty box opposite the church when available. World class jam, expect shortages.

Followed by...Fish and Chips from (the defiently named) White Rose Cafe in Sedbergh.

Spot the Dragon at the George & Dragon (exact location not admitted)

Climb "The Calf" before breakfast - home record is 51 mins from the fell gate, for the competative, otherwise, enjoy the views.

Walk to Dent along Dales way - start from kitchen door. Find the oldest tree, and plenty of blackberries, in season, for hungry ones.

Cautley spout - for the waterfall walk, mystery ancient settlements and Cross Keys

Dent Fault - Plate Tectonics theory recently re-interpreted to explain the seperation between Yorkshire and the rest of us.

Further away, but still worth a visit...

Bobbin Mill at Stott Park (south end of Windermere) . Most enthusiastic hosts at any "tourist attraction" anywhere, plus free bobbin to work out what to do with.

Levens Hall - for artistic creations in the garden, the tree lined avenue in the park, and the view over the river, with deer roaming about.
